Where is the line?

This blog is meant to entertain and inform, not pontificate. I wrestled with whether it was possible to meaningfully and respectfully address the 2017 Las Vegas mass shooting on such a platform.

Ultimately I decided that this blog is, fundamentally, about engaging with the real world. It is also about communicating a set of real guiding principals that are applicable to far more than financial decisions.

This terrible thing happened, and this blog, as silly as it is, is not so silly as to pretend it did not.

I am unsure about the content of the post and its tone. I am unsure of everything. Running a blog is new to me, and the context surrounding the post only adds to the complexity, danger, and uncertainty of it all. I hope this was the right thing to do, or at least a close approximation.
